Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position starts at $30.00 hourly. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part‑time or full‑time status.
- Arrive before team practices to set up fields, head table, and other equipment
- Direct players, coaches, parents and officials to their correct practice and game fields
- Troubleshoot any potential roster and scheduling issues
- Collect and report final scores from each set of games
- Clean up fields, head table, and other equipment following the conclusion of games
- Attend weekly virtual meetings during the season
Required availability: all Sundays in Spring 2026 – April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17.
Essential Functions- Assists in the implementation of sports programs which may include organizing, delivering and administering sports leagues, recreation programs and activities.
- Ensures a high level of customer service which enhances the member, program participant and guest experience and satisfaction.
- Assists in managing the day‑to‑day programing to ensure revenue, program goals, and expense targets are achieved.
- Delivers sports programs directly to members and participants a portion of the time.
- Provides work direction to sports staff when appropriate.
- May assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and giving work direction to staff and volunteers.
This position reports to the Sports Director/Sr. Sports Director who reports to the Executive Director.
Works with branch and sports program teams, and other Association staff.
Qualifications Required- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in sports programs (preferably some experience or knowledge in football)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage sports recreation program activities.
- Knowledge of basic rules in sports recreation program activities.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Creative thinker with a history of applying innovation in programming.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build community relationships.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage programs to a diverse population.
- Multilingual
- Must be able to carry equipment.
- Ability to travel locally to YMCA branches and Vikings NFL FLAG sites.
