A position that is:
Hourly, Full time (First Shift), Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
The Shipping and Receiving Operator supports daily shipping and receiving operations by coordinating material movement and maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, inventory control, and operational efficiency. This role works closely with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure processes are followed, inventory is maintained accurately, and materials are handled correctly. Key Responsibilities- Receive inbound shipments and verify materials against purchase orders and documentation
- Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for shipment using approved processes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Inspect materials for damage or nonconformance and follow established procedures
- Use warehouse management systems and scanners to maintain accurate inventory records
- Prepare shipments including labeling, documentation, and hazardous material compliance when required
- Wrap, stage, and organize pallets for safe and efficient transport
- Transfer bulk materials into appropriate containers such as drums, totes, and pails
- Maintain accurate inventory through proper transactions and material handling practices
- Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with teammates to support daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
- Identify and communicate inventory, equipment, or process issues to leadership
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution environment
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within company guidelines
- Ability to follow procedures and work instructions
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Experience using warehouse systems, scanners, or ERP tools
- Ability to inspect materials and identify discrepancies
Strong teamwork and communication skills - Previous forklift operation experience
- Experience with hazardous materials handling or DOT requirements
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or ERP platforms
- Experience in a regulated or safety-sensitive environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift and move materials between 60-70 pounds
- Ability to lift and move materials with the forklift up to 400 pounds
- Operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Work performed in a warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Exposure to varying temperatures and material handling conditions
- Ability to remain alert and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment
The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $18.00 and $23.00 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the following:
