Position: Research Staff, Get the Facts Out - NSF project
Engineering a world of possibilities

Research Staff - Get The Facts Out Project Responsibilities Coordinate  research-related workflows, calendars, communications, and documentation for Get the Facts Out (GFO) personnel

Prepare, route, and track forms, contracts, onboarding items, travel requests, reimbursements, purchasing transactions, invoices, and other operational processes.

Maintain organized electronic and physical files, shared drives, websites, tracking tools, and internal reference materials that support research operations.

Assist with budget tracking, expense monitoring, reconciliations, payroll reallocations, and preparation of routine financial or sponsor-facing reports.

Support hiring and appointment processes for hourly employees, postdoctoral scholars, and other research personnel in coordination with campus partners.

Help ensure research-related transactions follow institutional, sponsor, and academic unit procedures, and escalate issues as needed.

Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, field activities, sponsor visits, and other research-related events or program milestones.

Respond to routine questions from faculty, staff, students, and external partners regarding research processes, timelines, and available resources.

Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, templates, and communication tools that support research programs.

Perform other duties as assigned to meet the operational goals of the Get the Facts Out project

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years administrative experience in tracking expenses, updating budgets, and customer relationships

Experience updating and balancing budget reports in Excel Extreme attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with both MS Office Suite and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Power Point and graphic design

Experience with organization and event planning

Coursework in finance and accounting

Salary Range $20/hour

This position is expected to work ~10 hours per week.
