Job Description

The Construction Coordinator supports the successful construction of water treatment facilities by working directly in the field to assist project managers, construction managers, engineers, contractors, and site crews. This role bridges design intent and field execution by coordinating daily construction activities, tracking progress, supporting quality and safety compliance, and ensuring work is completed according to Linkan standards.

Essential duties include:
  • Provide daily on-site support for construction of water treatment systems, including mechanical, electrical, piping, civil, and process components.
  • Coordinate activities between Linkan, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and client representatives.
  • Track procurement status, lead times, and delivery dates for long-lead and critical materials.
  • Support project procurement activities by preparing purchase requests, tracking approvals, and coordinating with the Project Manager and procurement team.
  • Assist with field layout, material staging, and workflow planning to keep construction progressing efficiently.
  • Serve as a point of contact for field questions related to drawings, specifications, and sequencing.
  • Track daily and weekly construction progress and communicate updates to the Project Manager.
  • Assist with short-interval planning, look-ahead schedules, and coordination of upcoming work.
  • Identify potential schedule conflicts or delays and help develop solutions with the project team.
  • Assist with field inspections to ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and Linkan quality standards.
  • Support punch list development, tracking, and closeout.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, material tracking, and field documentation.
  • Assist with as-built markups and turnover documentation.
  • Support Linkan's safety program by ensuring field activities comply with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, FLRAs, and site audits.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ownership on job sites.
  • Coordinate delivery, staging, and installation of equipment and materials.
  • Track materials and notify the project team of shortages or issues.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and equipment commissioning support.
  • Assist engineers and operators during system startup, testing, and commissioning.
  • Support troubleshooting and field modifications as needed.
  • Help transition projects from construction to operations.
The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
