Job Description & How to Apply Below

SE Group is seeking an intern to support our Business Development and Marketing team as we work closely with SE Group’s recreation planners, landscape architects, environmental analysts, mountain planners, and community planners. We help our team win projects like outdoor recreation economy studies, campground design, trail network plans, ski area plans, mountain town comprehensive plans, land use and zoning plans, forest health and wildfire resiliency studies, parks and open space plans, downhill mountain bike park development, recreation visitor use management plans, and more!

Why This Role Matters

At SE Group, our technical teams are doing complex, impactful work, from shaping trail networks and ski areas to guiding community plans and wildfire resilience strategies. But great work alone isn’t enough to secure the next project. It needs to be clearly communicated, understood, and championed!

This role plays a critical part in that process. You’ll help our team surface the stories behind our projects by connecting the dots between data, design, and real-world impact. Your work will directly support our ability to win projects that enhance outdoor recreation, strengthen local economies, and improve quality of life in communities across the country.

Whether your background is in marketing, planning, or design, you’ll gain hands‑on experience at the intersection of marketing and business development, learning how strong narratives, visuals, and data come together to position ideas, inspire clients, and move projects forward.

In short: you’ll help make sure our best work is seen, understood, and selected—so it can have the greatest possible impact.

What You’ll Do

Help tell the story of our work by translating complex planning and design projects into clear, compelling narratives that highlight why the work matters and the impact it has on communities and landscapes.

Update and maintain team resumes to ensure they are accurate, current, and strategically positioned to support winning proposals.

Support project closeout and marketing efforts by collaborating with project coordinators and the marketing team to:

  • Craft engaging project descriptions that communicate the vision, process, and real-world outcomes of our work
  • Gather and curate high-quality visuals—including renderings, 3D graphics, and photography—that bring each story to life
  • Develop polished project profiles for use on the website, in proposals, and across marketing channels

Create and contribute to digital content by writing and editing posts for Linked In and developing website content that showcases our projects, people, and thought leadership

Manage and curate digital assets within our Digital Asset Management system (Open Asset), ensuring imagery is well‑organized, searchable, and ready to support storytelling in proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.

Strengthen our data and insights in the CRM system by:

  • Maintaining accurate and complete project and client records
  • Organizing key information such as project descriptions, team members, budgets, and timelines
  • Supporting pipeline tracking, opportunity management, and proposal reporting
  • Helping identify trends, gaps, and opportunities that inform business development strategy

Provide general support to the Business Development and Marketing team on proposals, presentations, and other strategic initiatives as needed.

Skills
  • The ideal candidate is curious, excited to learn, and willing to roll up their sleeves as they work on a variety of projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, CoPilot)
  • Familiarity with Adobe In Design
