Martin and Wood Water Consultants, Inc.

Martin and Wood Water Consultants (M&W) is seeking a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to join our experienced water resources and water rights consulting team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead projects, mentor staff, and work on complex groundwater and water rights challenges in Colorado.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage hydrogeologic projects and technical staff
  • Conduct and oversee groundwater investigations, including well design, aquifer testing, and monitoring programs
  • Perform water accounting, lagging, and return flow analyses
  • Prepare technical memoranda and reports
  • Support groundwater modeling, water quality evaluations, and water rights analyses

    Manage drilling and field operations
  • Develop new groundwater work
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Registered Professional Geologist is preferred
  • 10+ years of hydrogeology experience
  • Experience with Colorado water rights
  • Knowledge of Denver Basin and alluvial aquifers
  • Experience managing staff and field programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Groundwater modeling and ArcGIS experience a plus
