Job Title
R&D Engineer III - Oxide Ceramics
As the R&D Engineer III, you will provide engineering support and technical guidance to material, product, and process development programs. This role focuses on oxide ceramics formulation and processing.
Roles & Responsibilities :
* Conduct engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures.
* Take a major role in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures.
* Leads individual project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support Coors Tek project management activities.
* Devise advanced research methods and documents results and procedures.
* Exercises responsibility for multiple pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment.
* Recommend new or upgrades to existing process and test equipment.
* Work collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company, providing guidance in his or her areas of expertise.
* Promote the company's safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.
* Direct the activities of technicians.
* Coordinate pilot-plant or initial production runs on new products or processes.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science preferred or related Engineering field, and at least five years relevant experience.
* Or:
Master's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science preferred or related Engineering field, and at least three years relevant experience.
* Or:
PhD degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science preferred or related Engineering filed.
* Hands on oxide ceramic materials formulation and processing experience highly preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Advanced knowledge of ceramic materials and processing.
* Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Organized, detail-oriented person necessary.
* Team player.
* Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD - USD
