is seeking a Service Writer/Advisor to join our busy dealership. Successful candidates will have strong organization skills, great customer service, and a willingness to learn our business.

Monday-Friday work week / Day Shift

Guaranteed Hourly Wage Position
- No More Flat Rate! $25-30/hour plus bonus, negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule service appointments and coordinate shop workload to maximize technician productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage technician workflow by monitoring the progress of each repair and ensuring jobs move through the shop in a timely manner.
  • Open repair orders, prepare estimates, obtain customer approvals, and accurately complete and close work orders.
  • Communicate with customers by phone and text to provide repair updates, estimates, approvals, timelines, delays, and equipment completion status.
  • Answer inbound phone calls and direct customers to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Gather detailed information from customers to accurately identify equipment concerns and document repair requests.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure repair information is accurate, additional repairs are communicated promptly, and labor is properly documented.
  • Work closely with the Parts, Rental, and Sales departments to support customer needs and ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Coordinate parts availability with the Parts Department to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Review completed repairs with customers, explain work performed, and answer questions regarding invoices and service recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate customer, equipment, and service records within the dealership management system.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while providing exceptional customer service and building positive customer relationships.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service office while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in meeting shop productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Stay informed on Bobcat products, service procedures, and dealership policies to provide accurate information and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Positive outlook and excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Excel in a high volume fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Good computer and systems knowledge
  • Experience with construction or ag equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with the inner workings of a service drive
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • Valid driver's license in good standing is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lifting /carrying up to 10 pounds or pushing/pulling small objects
  • Physically able to operate construction equipment and forklifts
  • Physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basis
  • Occasionally exposed to weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift.
