This role will be instrumental in shaping our company's future by providing strategic financial input to senior management.

As our Director of Finance, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing, directing, and managing all financial activities, including the company's financial planning, budget management, and forecasting.
2. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
3. Implementing and managing all financial controls and processes for revenue growth, profit maximization, and cost reduction.
4. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP.
5. Leading the execution of the company's ERP system to improve financial processes and reporting.
6. Developing and implementing risk management policies, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and corporate insurance.
7. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
8. Coordinating and leading annual audit processes with external auditors.
9. Directing, managing, and developing the finance team to enhance performance by setting clear accountable performance measures.

Core Experience
  • Background in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution businesses.
  • Experience managing product SKUs and product-driven financial processes.
  • Exposure to low-cost country sourcing.
  • Strong command of P&L management, including income statements and balance sheets.
  • Direct involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and building annual operating plans.
  • Skilled in month-end close, reporting, and monthly management reviews.
  • Experience with multi-division or global roll-ups and consolidations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Net Suite is a plus.
  • Demonstrated progressive growth in responsibility over their career.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of three or more.
  • Solid accounting expertise with hands-on operational understanding.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with distribution workflows and dividend-related financial management.
Functional Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of accounting, AP, AR, and core financial operations.
  • Finance experience covering analysis, reporting, and planning.
  • Exposure to HR or office administration responsibilities.
  • Awareness of safety programs or operational compliance.
  • Experience with business systems, finance tools, and operational software.
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable with data tools such as Power BI.
Relationship Management
  • Experience managing banking relationships.
  • Ability to partner with legal teams on contracts or compliance matters.
  • Familiarity with payroll operations, including PEO relationships.
  • Understanding of corporate tax coordination.
