About the RoleWe’re looking for a Accounting Manager who can operate as a true financial leader—owning the numbers, building a strong accounting team, and helping drive strategic decisions at the branch level. This is not a back-office role. This is a seat at the leadership table. You will partner directly with the Corporate Controller owning financial operations for one of our key branches while helping scale systems, processes, and people in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities- Help oversee all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger
- Lead consolidated financial systems and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial analysis
- Act as the financial leader for the branch, ensuring strong internal controls, compliance, and risk management
- Interpret and present financial results to executive leadership (Corporate Controller & CFO)
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team
- Drive efficiency, process improvement, and automation to support rapid growth
- Establish and document accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee the monthly financial close process with accuracy and timeliness
- Own the General Ledger (GL) and ensure compliance with US GAAP and FASB standards
- Support annual external audits
- Contribute to key financial deliverables including:
- KPI reporting & analysis
- ROI and business initiative assessments
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years leading an accounting team
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Advanced analytical skills with strong business acumen
- Deep understanding of financial statements, economic analysis, and controls
- Willingness to complete background and drug screening (per state/federal law)
- Active CPA (preferred)
- Experience in home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Experience in private equity-backed environments
- Proven success scaling and developing high-performing teams
Competitive compensation: $120K–$140K + bonus potential
