Job Overview
Fully Remote (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm MST) – This project team will support the data migration from Next Gen into the EPIC EMR system. The role focuses on accurately transferring patient information and ensuring all data is properly housed and formatted within EPIC.
Responsibilities- Primary Focus: EHR Patient Data – Receive raw patient data files containing historical EHR information and enter the data into EPIC, starting with April appointments and moving forward.
- Expected to index approximately 20 records per hour.
- Priority workload includes April-July appointments, covering roughly 6,700 scheduled patients, each with an average of 8-10 medical records. All relevant data must be transferred into EPIC prior to each patient’s appointment.
- Secondary Focus:
Order Transcription – Review specialty procedure orders from the Next Gen system and place them in the correct locations within EPIC. - Follow strict EPIC formatting requirements to ensure orders integrate and pull correctly in the new system.
- Requires high attention to detail and a basic understanding of what constitutes a complete medical order to accurately extract and enter required information.
- Training – The first two days consist of EPIC training to obtain certification and access.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of healthcare industry experience, including basic knowledge of medical terminology, EMRs, and the importance of accurate data.
- Minimum 1 year of data entry experience.
- Proven ability to work fully remote with strong performance and consistent attendance (validated via a recent professional reference).
