Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team in Golden, Colorado. This is a contract position that requires expertise in payroll management and compliance, with a strong focus on utilizing Workday systems. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring accurate payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage payroll operations using Workday, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Maintain compliance with local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.

- Handle payroll tax filings and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

- Administer special payroll deductions and ensure proper documentation.

- Collaborate with teams to implement payroll best practices and improve system efficiencies.

- Conduct audits and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.

- Provide support for payroll inquiries and resolve employee concerns.

- Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll activities and compliance.

- Stay updated on changes to payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Facilitate training on payroll systems and processes for team members as needed.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll operations.

- Proficiency in Workday Payroll systems.

- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and tax regulations.

- Experience with payroll tax reporting and local payroll taxes.

- Ability to manage special payroll deductions accurately.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and address employee concerns.
