In this position, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Product Management, you will be the voice of the user and advocate for their needs with regards to laboratory software for proficiency testing and quality assurance management. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of innovative and customer-focused software that meets and exceeds market demands and delivers growth to the organization.
Starting with a deep understanding of user needs, you will define ERA’s eDATA product vision and strategy and devise a roadmap to evolve the product with customers’ evolving needs.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities that can inform product strategy and positioning.
- Act as a key liaison between technical teams, commercial teams, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication around product direction, priorities, and status.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept through development, launch, and end-of-life, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement.
- Establish mechanisms to gather and analyze customer feedback, including interviews, surveys, user testing, and usage analytics, to continuously refine the product.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to define go-to-market strategies, product positioning, value propositions, and training materials.
- Utilize data and KPIs to measure product performance and inform decisions about enhancements, pivots, or strategic shifts.
- Lead agile ceremonies and prioritize product backlog items to ensure the development team delivers high-impact, high-value features in each release.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business-related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Proven experience in product management, with a focus on data-related products or solutions
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable product requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of software development with agile development methodologies and tools
- Experience in environmental testing, food or related scientific fields
