Position: Help Desk Support I
LIVES LOCAL AND IN PERSON INTERVIEW REQUIRED.

Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. May require an associate's degree in a related area and at least 1 year or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Candidate will be providing remote and in person support to users in a Windows based environment. Duties will include answering the phone, understanding and documenting user issues, creating tickets, resolving issues or providing escalation when needed. Support will include password reset, troubleshooting problems with Office products, smart phones issues, calendar and email issues, etc.

Job duties include direct, in person support when users come to the Service Desk or need support in their work location. This can include assisting with application troubleshooting, re-image of computer, installing peripherals, machine replacement, phone setup, headset support, moving desktop equipment from one location to another, other duties related to the support of IT Services at the county and it's satellite locations.

Requires excellent customer service skills in person, over the phone and via email. Requires excellent writing skills and some experience writing documentation.

The candidate will also perform additional tasks in the team including purchasing desktop equipment, receiving equipment physically and in our ERP and tracking systems, maintaining asset records, preparing surplus equipment and other duties related to the support of the organization.
