Custodian

Location: Golden CO

Title: Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and environmental concerns
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  No specific education required; 3‑6 months of training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license; completed safety and task training certification; forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus; ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and manuals; strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team; knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

• Frequent sitting and talking or listening required.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 35 pounds.

Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Hourly Rate: $18.75 per hour
