We are IntrepidWe are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager, DMC USA to lead our Destination Management Company across Intrepid, Wildland Trekking, and Urban Adventures in the United States. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to shape our growth and market position while building and leading a high-performing team across one of our most important markets.
The GM will implement long-term strategic plans while overseeing the day-to-day business, with a strong emphasis onpeopleleadership. This includes building, coaching, andretaininga high-performing leadership team, as well as fostering a connected and engaged field workforce of leaders, guides, and crew across a large and diverse country.
The successful candidate willbe responsible for driving growth and positioning the Intrepid and Wildland brands in our key US markets and destinations, including national parks from coast to coast. They will enable the company to achieve its goals by developing new business, driving sales growth, ensuring profitability, delivering exceptional products to our partners, and developing a high-performing team across the region.
Reporting to the President, Americas, this role will work closely with the General Manager, DMC Canada and collaborate with other GMs and the global business to achieve broader strategic goals and results.
This is an onsite role based in our Golden, Colorado office, with a requirement to work in the office five days per week.
The salary range for this position is $115,000–$125,000 USD annually based on experience, plussome excellentperksand benefits.
A passion for travel is a must-have! With it you’ll bring:
Strong knowledge of managing ground operations in the United States, including national parks, wilderness, and multi-day active products.
Strong knowledge of the U.S. adventure and experiential travel market, key destinations, and trade partners.
Minimum of senior management experience; company or country management experience preferred.
Proven senior leadership experience with direct accountability for a multidisciplinary team, including leading leaders (managers of managers).
Demonstrated ability to seta clear visionand direction, translate strategy into team priorities, and hold people accountable for outcomes.
High level of financial literacy and proven commercial and strategic decision-making skills.
Proven understanding of risk and incident management in outdoor and remote environments.
Working knowledge of U.S. tourism regulations, including federal land agency permitting (NPS Commercial Use Authorizations, USFS and BLMspecial usepermits), state seller-of-travel registrations, and federal and state employment law.
Experience integratingacquiredbusinesses, brands, and teams is highly regarded.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience in tourism oran operations-, sales-, or customer-focused industry.
