Production Technician

Position Overview

As a Production Technician, you’re a member of a production crew, reporting to a supervisor in an assigned production area. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility. The Golden plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12‑hour shifts (6am‑6pm or 6pm‑6am), working 4 days on/4 days off and rotating from day to night shift every 32 days.

• Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies, including food safety, personal protective equipment, and emergency procedures.

• Operate, adjust, and repair high‑speed production equipment to meet plant production goals.

• Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

• Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.

• Build positive relationships across the designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical job‑related experience with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.

• 2 years of work experience in a high‑speed manufacturing environment.

May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to:

• Hot/Cold working conditions.
• Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
• Climbing (stairs and other equipment as necessary).

Hourly Rate: $32.40 per hour. This role is eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
