Shortage Control Associate

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Your role directly impacts the store’s security and overall shopping experience by exhibiting command presence, knowledge of theft trends, and a positive impression of control.

As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), you will:

• Present a confident, friendly, and energetic greeting to every customer entering or exiting the store.
• Monitor the entrance continuously throughout each shift, focusing on reducing opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest activities.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with dress standards and wear the designated radio and earpiece.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of your surroundings.
• Communicate with customers and associates to promote a sense of control and security.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring adherence to safety and security standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Participate in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Lead by example in safety practices and address any unsafe behavior promptly.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and visually monitor the store environment for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that foster productive business relationships.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision‑making.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and review, analyze, and comprehend business trends.
• Confident demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
