Primarily at Golden Store; may be asked to work at Evergreen Donation Center.

The Associate I, Donation Services is the first point of contact for customers dropping off items at retail and donation centers. Provides customer service, assists with unloading donations, handles goods with care, and ensures items are sorted and processed correctly.

• Provides excellent customer service, greeting customers promptly and answering questions.
• Assists customers by unloading donations from vehicles.
• Ensures donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate bins.
• Inspects all donations within assigned areas and decides quality for sales floor or shipment.
• Maintains a safe, organized, and clean environment for customers and staff.
• Maintains remote donation centers, sheds, and trailers, following opening and closing procedures.
• Ensures supplies are well stocked at remote sites.
• Tracks and reports donation levels daily, ensuring trailers are not over‑stocked.
• Communicates timely when a warehouse or trailer is full and a truck is needed.
• Follows all retail center and donation center policies and procedures.
• Assists drivers in loading and unloading donations on the truck.
• Follows all safety processes and procedures.
• Cross‑trains in other departments or areas; acts as backup as required.
• May be required to report to store ADC or stand‑alone center.
• Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• One (1) year of retail experience preferred.

• Must make decisions following Goodwill standards and guidelines.
• Basic computer skills needed to log into a computer system, order supplies, and send or receive email.
• Must work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures.
• Must use safety equipment to assist with lifting heavy objects such as a dolly or pallet jack.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Must work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime.
