Electrical Apprentice – Mr. Electric of Golden CO
Build a Career You’re Proud Of
This isn’t a job where you’ll spend years carrying tools and waiting for someone to teach you something.
At Mr. Electric of Golden CO
, we’re looking for an Electrical Apprentice who wants to become an excellent electrician — technically skilled, professional with customers, and capable of eventually running residential service calls independently.
You’ll work alongside experienced, licensed electricians while learning residential electrical installation, troubleshooting, electrical safety, code requirements, and the customer-service skills that separate a good electrician from a premium Service Electrician.
We serve Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Denver, Evergreen, the foothills, Summit County, and Vail. Our customers expect professionalism, clear communication, and work done right the first time. That commitment has earned us 150+ five-star Google reviews and a reputation built on trust.
If you want to learn the trade from professionals who care about craftsmanship — and build toward a real career rather than simply having another job — keep reading.
What Makes Us Different You’ll Learn More Than How to WireBecoming a great electrician requires more than knowing electrical code.
You’ll learn how to:
- Troubleshoot electrical problems instead of simply replacing parts
- Understand why electrical systems are installed the way they are
- Recognize safety and code issues
- Perform clean, professional installations
- Communicate clearly with homeowners
- Explain electrical problems in language customers can understand
- Develop solutions instead of making guesses
- Take responsibility for the quality of your work
Our goal isn't simply to teach you enough to pass a licensing exam.
Our goal is to help you become the kind of electrician customers trust and other electricians respect.
A Real Path Toward Becoming a Service ElectricianAs your knowledge and experience grow, so will your responsibilities.
You’ll begin by working alongside licensed electricians and assisting with installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and service calls. As you demonstrate competence, you'll be expected to perform increasingly complex work with appropriate supervision.
Over time, you'll learn the entire residential service process — from diagnosing a problem through completing the repair and explaining the solution to the homeowner.
The goal is clear:
Apprentice → Licensed Electrician → Residential Service ElectricianFor someone who wants to learn and is willing to put in the work, there is significant opportunity to grow with the company.
Mountain Work Is Part of the TerritoryIn addition to Golden and surrounding communities, we service Summit County and Vail
, and our electricians typically head into the mountains approximately once per week on average.
That means you'll gain experience working on a wide variety of homes and electrical systems — from older foothills properties to newer mountain homes.
If you enjoy mountain drives, cooler summer temperatures, and working in some of Colorado's most beautiful communities, that's a definite upside.
The Environment HereWe are locally owned. Decisions are made here.
You'll work with experienced electricians and have direct access to the owner. We're building this company around strong systems, high standards, technical competence, and a long-term reputation — not simply around completing as many jobs as possible.
Questions are encouraged.
If you don't understand why something is being done, ask.
If you see something that doesn't look right, speak up.
If you make a mistake, own it, learn from it, and don't make the same mistake twice.
We expect apprentices to learn, think critically, and become increasingly independent as their skills develop.
