KeyQualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as a School Social Worker
- Experience providing support in K-12 school environments is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of child and adolescent development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality
- Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs through interviews and collaboration with staff and families
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students' academic and personal growth
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing counseling services to students in need
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP development and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
- Connect families with community resources and coordinate referrals as necessary
- Deliver professional development or training to staff on relevant topics (e.g., mental health awareness, de-escalation techniques)
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
