School Social Worker ​/ Mental Health

School Based Mental Health Professional
RCM Healthcare Services is currently hiring School Based Mental Health Professionals to provide direct counseling, crisis support, and behavioral interventions to students in Jefferson County Schools (Jeffco Public Schools) in Colorado. The successful candidate will collaborate with families and staff, manage student casework, and help integrate emotional supports into the educational environment.
Responsibilities
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy or counseling during school hours
Assessments & Planning:
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and student support team meetings
Case Management:
Maintain accurate clinical notes, track student progress, and complete required district paperwork

Collaboration:

Partner with teachers, school administrators, parents, and community agencies to link families with outside care
Crisis Response:
Assess and manage safety risks and report high-risk cases or concerns of abuse and neglect per legal guidelines
Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field

Licensure/Certification :
Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License with an endorsement in School Social Work or School Psychology, or clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or candidate status (SWC, LPCC, LSW)

Skills:

Strong knowledge of crisis de-escalation, behavioral interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)

School Year – Full Time – Will follow Academic Calendar
