As a Lead Software Engineer you will help design, build, and maintain systems that transform and integrate data across platforms supporting government‑funded workforce development programs nationwide.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and support of core platform services and applications using Mongo
DB, Node.js, Nest.js, and Next.js. - Architect, build, and maintain scalable systems that power Workforce Development platforms.
- Design and develop modern web applications and RESTful services, improving system performance and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, product partners, and leadership to shape architecture and deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Mentor engineers, review code, and guide engineering best practices across teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, drive innovation, and make a real impact on the software we build.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with JavaScript or Type Script and backend development using Node.js.
- Experience building APIs and services using modern frameworks (e.g., Nest.js, Express).
- Experience designing and architecting distributed or scalable systems.
- Experience working with Mongo
DB or other No
SQL databases. - Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular.
- Understanding of RESTful services and data formats such as JSON and XML.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑based environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and guiding technical best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaborative communication skills.
Salary: $75K – $120K
