Location: Goldsboro, Wilson, Selam area (Fully onsite, 5 days per week; flexibility as needed)

A stable and growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its onsite finance team in Goldsboro, NC. This role offers high visibility, meaningful ownership, and a clear, intentional path toward a Controller position over time.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, variance analysis, and working capital management. The role partners closely with operations and manufacturing teams and is well suited for someone who enjoys a hands‑on, plant-based environment with defined deadlines and accountability.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
• Analyze and explain variances during monthly close reviews.
• Provide rolling forecast updates for assigned expense categories.
• Execute and document internal controls on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Maintain daily management reporting related to sales and operations.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices; post payments and reconcile cash.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on past‑due receivables; support collection efforts.
• Prepare weekly working capital and cash flow reports for management.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Assist with special projects, system improvements, and ad hoc analysis as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field required.
• 2-6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a fully integrated manufacturing ERP environment.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience supporting month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with finance and operations leadership.

• Exposure to standard cost accounting.
• Understanding of BOMs, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variances.
• Prior experience working in a plant or shop‑floor manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting ERP transitions or system upgrades.

• Fully onsite role within a manufacturing facility.
• Regular interaction with operations, production, and leadership teams.
• Fast‑paced close cycles with a short, deadline‑driven month‑end.
• Traditional business environment requiring adaptability and accountability.

• Eligibility to comply with U.S. export control regulations (e.g., ITAR), including appropriate authorization to access controlled technical data.

• Fully onsite role with close collaboration across finance and manufacturing operations.
