# COLLISION TECHNICIAN Deacon Jones Auto Group - Goldsboro, NC 27534## Overview Position Type Full Time## Description

Job Purpose:

- The Automotive Collision Technician at Deacon Jones Auto Group is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role requires expertise in collision repair techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine necessary repairs.  - Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify structural and cosmetic issues.  - Execute repair plans, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle components, ensuring all work meets industry standards.  - Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.  

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.  - Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.  - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance repair processes and techniques.  - Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures and provide updates on progress.  - Document all repairs and services performed, ensuring accuracy and completeness for record-keeping and billing purposes.  

- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in collision repair.## Qualifications Required

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a postsecondary program in automotive technology is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive collision repair.  - Proven track record of working with various vehicle makes and models.  

- Experience with using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to collision repair.  Preferred

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.  - Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to automotive repair.  - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair instructions.  - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.  - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
