Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Goldsboro, NC, for a Building Inspector. The role requires performing site inspections to ensure compliance with codes and standards, enforcing building regulations, issuing permits, and providing detailed reports on findings. The Building Inspector collaborates with contractors, property owners, and construction teams to address code violations and advise on compliance strategies. The position entails maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and professionalism while ensuring the city’s regulatory requirements are upheld.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Building Inspections and Site Inspections to assess construction projects for compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Knowledge of Code Enforcement practices to identify, document, and address violations effectively.
  • Technical expertise in Plumbing systems and Inspection processes to evaluate and certify safety and efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with property owners, contractors, and municipal staff.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of construction materials, methods, and standards.
  • Certification as a Building Inspector or relevant qualifications; familiarity with North Carolina building code is highly preferred.
