The Goldsboro, NC Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic is recruiting primary care physicians! The North Carolina Coastal Healthcare System provides exceptional care that improves the health and well-being of veterans. We're growing our Primary Care Team across the healthcare system.
The opportunity details are listed below.
Work schedule:
Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm, no weekends or callBC/BE FM or IM Candidates
Ability to mentor and supervise advanced practice providers
Panel size is typically 1,200 (male and female)
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatient include both scheduled and unscheduled Veterans.
Function as an integral part of a Primary Care multi-disciplinary team.
Establish a diagnosis and initiate appropriate response to emergency health problems.
Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to other clinical services.
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and/or referral.
Initiate, evaluate, and change orders for medications.
Include patient and family in planning care and establish realistic, measurable goals for health maintenance/improvement.

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment):
Position eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years with a maximum of $40K per year.

One full & unrestricted license from any state is permissible to work at VA
CME: $1,000 per year stipend & 5 days paid absence for conferences, etc.
