UNC Health Wayne is looking for a BC/BE hospitalist to join the growing Hospital Medicine program in Goldsboro, NC. This position involves delivering high‑quality, team‑based inpatient services. 7 am–7 pm (2 or more shifts a month)

• 38 emergency beds
• 4 trauma beds
• 4 behavioral health beds
• 15‑bed ICU (closed)
• 8‑bed labor and delivery unit
• 26‑bed nursery
• 22‑bed behavioral health unit
• EMR: EPIC

• Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy school
• One or more years of experience working as a hospitalist
• Internal Medicine residency preferred
• Board‑certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Meeting the board‑certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

• DEA, ACLS, MD

Prefer prior hospitalist experience.

Language skills:
Proficient in English. High‑level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential for diagnosing medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching with hands and arms are required. The job requires close vision and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

The physician generally works in a medical office setting. Noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
