Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist
Design metal roof layouts for commercial and residential projects as a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist. Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Revit, or Micro Station. Convert sketches, concepts, field measurements, and engineering notes into accurate digital drawings. Prepare layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation. Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure design accuracy.
Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle. Update drawings as project requirements and customer needs evolve. Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry requirements, and applicable regulations. Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, production teams, and other stakeholders to support successful project execution. Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the design process. Work primarily in an office environment with occasional local travel as needed.
Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field. Experience creating technical drawings using CAD software. Ability to learn and effectively utilize proprietary CAD software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
