Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well‑established manufacturing company who is hiring a Automation Controls Technician to join their team at their food processing plant. This is an excellent direct hire opportunity in a hands‑on, industrial environment supporting 24/7 production equipment. This role is working 1st or 3rd shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend overtime as needed during peak season.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment and automated systems
  • Support automation and engineering projects, including equipment upgrades and process improvements
  • Program, modify, and troubleshoot control systems, HMIs, instrumentation, and related equipment
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain sensors, transmitters, valves, meters, and other process control devices
  • Analyze equipment performance and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs
  • Maintain accurate documentation for system changes, repairs, and projects
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support safe and efficient operations
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and supporting PLC/HMI control systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, Logix 5000, and industrial automation systems
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, sensors, transmitters, and closed‑loop control systems
  • Experience with SCADA, Ignition, or similar automation software preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
