Job Summary

Provides competent and professional clinical nursing care in accordance with established standards. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify personal learning needs and participate in relevant educational programs.
• Utilize appropriate patient education materials and assess patient readiness to learn.
• Determine patient outcomes and revise care plans when necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to evaluate care and ensure continuity.
• Provide safe and competent care to patients with complex health needs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and adhere to established standards and policies.
• Organize, prioritize, and manage patient care; seek guidance for complex situations.
• Establish and pursue professional development goals; support unit initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote a safe, clean, and cost-effective care environment.
• Assess patient needs, anticipate discharge planning, and advocate for patients and families.
• Collaboratively plan care using multidisciplinary resources and cultural sensitivity.
• Stay current with professional literature and contribute ideas for practice improvement.
