Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing primary care team serving communities in Goldsboro, Faison, Kenansville
- North Carolina. This position is ideal for providers with experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Community Health who are passionate about preventive medicine, patient-centered care, and improving community health outcomes. The provider will work collaboratively with clinical staff while delivering comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an outpatient primary care setting.
  • Provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic disease management services.
  • Refer patients to specialists and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
  • Review laboratory, imaging, and emergency department reports daily.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and standardized care protocols.
  • Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in cooperative relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
  • Provide occasional coverage for on-call, evening, weekend, or emergency situations as needed.
  • Travel to additional clinic locations when required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Active North Carolina NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in:
    Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Community Health
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to preventive medicine and community-focused healthcare.

Preferred:

  • Experience serving underserved or rural populations.
  • Background in community health or federally qualified health center (FQHC) settings.
