• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions
• Eighteen (18) months of recent experience in an acute care emergency room setting
• Other requirements may be determined by the client facility

• Provide care for patients from various illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention.
• Recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
• Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Apply knowledge of general and specific health issues pertinent to the ED.
• Understand and implement triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
