RN – Emergency Department

Goldsboro, NC | Acute Care

Contract | Onsite

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in an emergency department setting
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care appropriate to the patient population
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan and adhere to organizational nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience in an emergency department or acute care setting
