Travel RN - Labor & Delivery - LDRP

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 6-bed unit requiring NC or compact RN licensure and the ability to circulate for C-sections and triage OB patients.

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• NRP certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• 5 years of L&D experience highly preferred
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections and triage OB patients

• Work in a 6-bed Labor & Delivery unit with one C-section OR
• Unit averages 100 deliveries monthly, collaborating with OBGYNs and midwives
• Manage laboring patients, circulate and assist in C-sections, and recover both labor and surgical patients
• Night shift, 7:00pm-7:00am, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience required
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Participate in patient/family education and discharge planning
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Engage in unit performance improvement activities and cost-effective care practices
