Job Summary:

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and meet personal learning needs; attend relevant education programs.
• Use patient education materials and assess readiness to learn.
• Identify patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with team to evaluate care and ensure continuity.
• Provide safe, competent care for patients with complex needs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and follow standards and policies.
• Organize and prioritize care; consult resources for complex issues.
• Set and achieve professional growth goals; support unit objectives.
• Communicate effectively and give feedback to coworkers.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care.
• Assess patient needs, anticipate discharge, and support family advocacy.
• Plan care collaboratively, using multidisciplinary resources and cultural awareness.
• Stay informed through journals and share ideas for practice improvement.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Placement Fees for Wayne DH Nursing Roles are

Pay Ranges:
Experienced Registered Nurse

New Graduate Registered Nurse (Graduated RN school less than a year ago with no prior RN experience)

RN Shift Differentials:

• Evening (commences at 3:00pm and ends at 11:00pm): ***/hr
• Night (commences at 11:00 pm and ends the following day at 7:30am): ***/hr
• Weekend (commences at 7:00am on Saturday and ends on Monday at 7:30am): ***/hr
• Holiday (commences at 7:00am on the day of the holiday and ends at 7:30am the following day): 50% of base rate added to base rate of pay
• Specialty Differential (OR,ER,ICU) - ***

Shift Differentials can be combined. For example, if a night shift is worked on the weekend or holiday, you would receive the weekend/holiday and the night shift differential on top of your base rate
Relocation Incentive (2-year commitment):

Paid-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) Differential:
Full Time: 30% (Added to base rate of pay)
Part Time: 20% (Added to base rate of pay)

• Pay-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) teammates will receive a pay adder/differential above their normal, hourly rate based on scheduled FTE's. PLB teammates are eligible for all applicable pay differentials. PLB teammates are not eligible to accrue paid time off benefit hours (PTO) or participate in the Benefit Program. PLB teammates are eligible for Pay-For-Performance awards.
