Summary:
The Campus Safety Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff; protects Hospital property and equipment from theft; maintains traffic and parking control; and presents a positive image to all who visit the Hospital.
High School Diploma or equivalent required, any higher education from an accredited college will supersede this requirement.
Licensure / CertificationCertified through the State of North Carolina as an unarmed security officer.
Certified through the International Foundation for Protection Officers as an ISOP (Initial Security Officer Program).
ExperienceAt least one year with a private security agency is preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interact professionally and appropriately with teammates, providers, patients and the public.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
Valid NC Driver’s License:
Yes
If driving a Wayne UNC Vehicle, must be 21 years old and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
