CDL Class A Rolloff Driver; Goldsboro​/La Grange, NC)

Foss Recycling is a fast-moving metal recycling company seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers. We value flexibility and dedication to staying on task in a dynamic work environment.

• Operate a semi-truck and trailer in compliance with applicable state and federal transportation laws.
• Transport loads safely and timely over assigned routes, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Skillfully maneuver truck and roll off trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
• Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to shipping office or appropriate staff upon route completion.
• Perform routine truck service checks including oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance issues to the Transportation Manager.
• Use Electronic Logging Device (ELD) for all driving activities; all Foss Recycling trucks are equipped with ELDs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional and courteous communication at delivery points.
• Ability to drive a tractor trailer with loads that may partially obscure rear-view vision; effective use of side mirrors is essential.
• Plan routes to minimize traffic delays and maximize routing efficiency.
• Ensure product delivery to customers on or before scheduled time.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience with a valid Class A CDL.
• Flexibility to work up to 6 days a week if needed.
• Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state Department of Transportation regulations.

• Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
• Frequent use of body movements including twisting, bending, reaching, and using hands and arms to complete paperwork.
• Walking and standing while operating machinery and equipment during loading/unloading.
• Use of arms, legs, wrists, and back to climb on trailers as needed to inspect, correct, or modify loads.

Work is performed in person at our Goldsboro, NC location. Candidates must be able to commute to or relocate to La Grange, NC 28551 prior to starting work.
