Summary
The Plant Controller is responsible for leading all financial and accounting operations for the site, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting and cash management, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards. In a small, collaborative manufacturing environment, this role serves as a strategic business partner, working closely with internal departments, external partners and leadership to provide financial insight, improve processes, and support business decisions.
The Plant Controller is expected to be hands‑on, balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day accounting responsibilities as needed, including month‑end close, financial analysis, AP/AR oversight, reconciliations, cash forecasting, and team leadership, while contributing to cross‑functional initiatives and other duties as assigned.
- Coordinates and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
- Oversees the preparation of financial statements and filings in compliance with GMP.
- Conducts ad hoc analyses of the plant's finances and prepares reports to facilitate decision making.
- Develops internal controls and oversees audits of policies and procedures meant to preserve the plant's assets.
- Manages budgeting and cash management activities.
- May be responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management and termination.

- Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advises staff regarding the handling of non‑routine reporting transactions.
- In the absence of other accounting staff resources, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for all aspects of AP, AR, Cash forecasting, Reconciliations and month‑end procedures.

Compensation$180,000 - $205,000/ Annually and is eligiable for a 15% annualized bonus.

Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, Master’s degree preferred; 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years as an Accounting Manager or Controller preferred.
Computer SkillsMust be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast
-pace setting. Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel experience required.
