We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts, who will be responsible for proposal preparation and negotiation as well as contract management as well as advising and/or representing Raytheon on contract negotiations.
What You Will Do
- Participation in the review, analysis, and negotiation of Terms and Conditions
- Perform proposal management and business risk mitigation
- Prepare customer proposal submittals including offer letters, representations and certifications, and other RFP documentation as required
Contract Management:
- Draft, interpret, and manage contract documents in support of Contracts and Business Unit
- Facilitate and ensure communication and coordination with the internal/external customer program team
- Adhere to and comply with standardized corporate procedures and compliance documentation
- Disseminate ("Flowdown") customer contractual requirements within the organization
- Act as liaison between internal and external customers and respond to stakeholder inquires in a timely and efficient manner
- Work autonomously with oversight
- Contract closeout activities including material and property dispositioning, patent reporting and final invoicing
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Experience in leading and/or administering U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
- Experience working Sole Source and Competitive Proposals
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to Multi-task with routine and complex contract/proposal activities while responding to emerging quick response activities
- Experience with direct engagement with external customers
- Experience with Contracts administration and negotiation of proposals and contracts of medium to high complexity
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams
- Mature judgment, proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution skills

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
