You will be the EO/IR Systems Engineer / Tech Lead for our innovative engineering team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge IR sensor technologies, driving product innovation, and supporting existing products in production. What You Will Be Doing As the EO/IR Systems Engineer / Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading technical teams in the development of IR sensors, executing project plans, and ensuring successful product delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading technical teams in IR sensor development
• Performing EO/IR analysis and modeling to support system concept development and design verification
• Acting as project engineer or technical lead, planning, monitoring, and tracking program tasks, schedules, budgets, and earned value
• Supervising and directing engineers and technicians in mechanical, electrical, and optical tasks
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and providing technical direction and support to production operations Why Join Us

This position is in Santa Barbara. Discover more about our Santa Barbara, California location. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an engineering, mathematics, or science field
• Engineering or Physics background
• Excellent presentation and written communications skills
• Ability to lead technical teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Experience with Systems Engineering and MBSE
• Basic understanding of infrared sensor systems and supporting, mechanical, and optical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis of sophisticated hardware.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, must be a US Citizen.

• Strong customer coordination experience
• Experience with IR camera systems
• Understanding of FPA manufacturing technologies
• Closed cycle cryogenic systems.
• Vacuum packaging
• MATLAB programming expertise
• CAMEO and DOORS expertise
• Reading mechanical drawings
• Transition of high technology product from Development to Production
• Radiometric testing and analysis of IR systems or sensors
• Familiar with high vacuum and ESD handling requirements
• Background or familiarity with electronics and equipment related to infrared video collection, analysis, and test
• Understanding of reliability engineering and 6 sigma principles.
• Master's degree from an accredited college in related discipline
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
