Senior Test & Integration System Engineer – 3rd shift, onsite, Goleta, CA.

What You Will Do
  • Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing to deliver EO/IR focal plane array sensor systems.
  • Develop test plans and execute product test activities for engineering and production builds.
  • Support the Test Architect in developing and executing the test architecture from bid through production, contribute to test system design, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve these goals.
  • Collaborate with operations and manufacturing teams to enable efficient product flow, provide actionable metrics, minimize cycle time, and maximize yield.
  • Provide reliable coverage and presence during the required 3rd‑shift schedule.
Qualifications

Must have:

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in airborne and/or space EO/IR system test.
  • Experience in integration verification, validation testing, and product transition to production.
  • Experience integrating firmware, software, and hardware.
  • Programming skills in LabVIEW and/or MATLAB.
  • Ability to work a fixed 3rd‑shift schedule (start times between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with test methodology for sensors, including optical performance analysis and test verification for EO/IR focal plane array sensor systems.
  • Experience developing or executing factory test plans, procedures, and equipment for EO/IR focal plane array sensor systems and ROICs.
  • Prior experience with ROIC wafer probing, fabrication, integration, verification, and validation for a complex EO/IR system.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; able to communicate effectively with test management, IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customers.
  • Experience with basic laboratory equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters).
