Semiconductor Research and Development Engineer
You will be the Semiconductor Research and Development Engineer for the Detector Research and Development team. Our team is responsible for designing, fabricating, and testing cutting‑edge infrared detectors using advanced epitaxial growth techniques.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Semiconductor Research and Development Engineer you will be responsible for driving process innovation and integration across our infrared detector programs.
Responsibilities- Develop and control semiconductor wafer photolithography processes for new detector products.
- Support high‑precision flip‑chip bonding of silicon to III‑V semiconductor dies.
- Integrate process flows for new material platforms, collaborating with Production Process Integration Engineers.
- Present status updates and final reports to internal and external customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience; or 3+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or 0 years of experience required with a related PhD.
- Proven ability to plan and present technical information clearly to key stakeholders.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex engineering problems.
Desired
Skills:
- Understanding of band gap engineering.
- Experience in semiconductor wafer and die processing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience programming with Matlab, JMP, Python, SQL, etc.
- Persistence in problem solving.
- Proficiency in sorting out the most impactful issues to focus on.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Work Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
Availability:
Onsite Full‑time.
