Hardware Engineer, Electronics Engineer
The team is particularly interested in candidates with a strong foundation in RF measurement and characterization, especially experience with VNA-based measurements including S-parameters, power/phase analysis, frequency conversion measurements, and de-embedding techniques.
Additionally, experience working with mixers/up-down converters, along with hands‑on Python scripting for test automation and familiarity with version control tools such as Git, would be highly valuable for success in this role.
At this stage, the focus is on identifying candidates who bring a balanced combination of RF measurement expertise, converter/mixer knowledge, and automation/programming experience.
Non‑Negotiables- Strong RF Measurements background
- Understanding of mixers
- Hands‑on Python
As a Hardware Engineer, you make broad contributions by delivering full pieces of a design or design validation project with minimal assistance. You create, design, develop, or validate hardware products/components. You update and maintain the internal design specifications, design validation plan, drawings, and standards to the latest configurations. You work extensively with engineers and managers for navigating project constraints. You solve all hardware issues during concept design, detailed design, product development, design validation, manufacturing, and delivery/deployment.
You address commonly escalated issues by identifying and recommending creative ways to improve solutions via selection of better methods or tools. You work within one or more teams to communicate knowledge related to process improvements, build a network, and contribute to cross‑team collaborations. You demonstrate a deep and broad understanding of at least one hardware engineering discipline and hardware development process.
include
- Apply best practices to optimize complex or constrained hardware components to meet performance, power, and cost‑effectiveness requirements.
- Use measurements or numerical methods to quantify impact of hardware design decisions and make design recommendations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to optimize hardware performance under established design constraints. Responsible for meeting performance requirements of a complex hardware product or subsystem.
- Identify flaws and issues with hardware components. Solve and analyze key issues, risks, or trade‑offs, and address common hardware failures by suggesting corrective solutions.
- Provide documentation of the hardware design, its implementation, or test/validation results throughout the product life cycle.
- Review hardware designs (e.g., block diagrams, schematics, layouts, BOM, algorithms, protocols, link budgets) to anticipate and address issues/risks. Evaluate hardware performance and identify causes of deviation from prediction.
- Resolve test discrepancies. Perform measurements/simulations to validate design specifications. Suggest and implement design improvement.
