An organization within Northrop Grumman's Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, Spacecraft Components is a leading designer, producer, and supplier of spacecraft components that power and enable satellites of all classes. Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays, and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years.
The team in Oxnard, CA is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support new production lines. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate or continue to build a portfolio of LEAN and/or Agile projects & initiatives focusing on scale up of high impact products that are changing the way the spacecraft industry operates.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with manufacturing spacecraft & RF technologies by participating in activities & projects related to manufacturing analysis, production planning, production setup, efficiency optimization, quality assurance, floor layouts, & automation.
- Participates in daily team stand ups & collaborative team meetings (SCRUM)
- Participate in routine cross functional coordination across various teams, programs, & departments
- Assist in growing the business by identifying bottlenecks, opportunities, & risks and by helping find solutions
- Assisting in setup & maintain production areas for incoming programs
- Assist in KPI metrics & reporting
- Manages small & mid-sized projects management independently
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Must be capable of adapting to changing work needs & dynamic work environment
- Must have a U.S. Citizenship
Preferred:
- Experience with SMART goals or data-driven projects
- Experience with occasional teaching, tutoring, lesson plan development, or UIX
- Capable of adapting to changing work needs & dynamic work environment
- Microsoft Office
Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
