Process Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing (Vacuum/Photolithography)
About This RoleRaytheon Vision Systems (RVS) seeks a Process Engineer with experience in semiconductor wafer processing, vacuum deposition, photolithography, and related fab technologies. The engineer will manage process development projects, support production tools, and work in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities- Manage process development and improvement projects, focusing on novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety.
- Review material in WIP, certify operators, disposition out‑of‑flow material, and perform hands‑on processing of novel detector designs.
- Provide process ownership of vacuum coating tools, etch tools, or lithography tools.
- Develop equipment qualification and requirements plans for new procurements.
- Work in a cleanroom environment using full coverall garments.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing engineering in semiconductor, optics, electro‑optics, or microelectronics.
- Technical proficiency in vacuum system deposition processing and interfacing with multiple functions.
- Experience with vacuum system operations, infrared detector technology, semiconductor physics, wet etch, metal lift‑off, lithography, plasma cleaning, and related equipment.
- Project management experience and knowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments.
- Equipment and controls system experience.
- Experience with principles of vacuum system operations.
- Experience with infrared detector technology and semiconductor physics.
- Experience with wet etch, metal‑lift off, lithography, plasma cleaning, and associated semiconductor process equipment.
- Project management experience, knowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments.
- Equipment and controls system experience.
- Salary range: $95,500 USD – $181,700 USD.
