Job Summary

Responsible for Quality & Reliability Engineering activities that support the manufacturing of Teledyne FLIR’s Cooled and Uncooled Camera Systems. As a member of a cross‑functional team, you will also support activities with Systems Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, Customers, Suppliers, and Executive Leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

Contributes to product development as a sustaining team member supporting Teledyne FLIR’s Cooled and Uncooled Camera Systems. Conducts product and process qualification planning & testing, life testing and reporting for new designs and processes. Responsible for fielded product failure analysis, corrective actions and reporting. Facilitates supplier and component qualifications. Coordinates containment and corrective actions for non‑conforming material. Leads regular quality status and improvement activities.

Generates quality procedures and work instructions, as needed. Travels to suppliers, customers and/or outside labs, as needed.

  • Strong Oral Communication and Presentation

    Skills:

    Essential when making oral and graphical presentations to capture the interest and involvement of the audience while developing and delivering a clear and concise message.
Essential Job Functions
  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing using the English language.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.
  • Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
Education and Experience

BS in Engineering or Technical discipline required. 2+ years working as a Quality, Reliability or Process/Manufacturing Engineer, preferably in the electro‑mechanical field. Six Sigma training and/or certification preferred. Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred.

  • Measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R)
  • Supplier quality development
  • Optical and mechanical inspection skills
  • Electro‑mechanical shaker systems and environmental chambers
  • MS Office applications (must be proficient with Excel)
  • Statistical and reliability software applications

Salary Range

$96,600.00-$ (anticipated salary range is an estimate; actual compensation is determined based on location, regulations, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position).
