Sr. Principal - Engineering Tools - sponsor clearance

Job Title

This is a role in the Support Services team as part of the Programs & Infrastructure directorate of Raytheon Digital Technology.

The team supports a variety of Engineering Tools (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, and Software) used in Unclassified and Classified Environments.

This person will be a key team member helping the organization deliver service excellence around the following activities: interfacing with program personnel and programs' engineering and DT teams; coordinating resources to provide appropriate tool related services; helping users on programs effectively use tools; troubleshooting tool related problems; and tailoring tools to specific program needs. The ideal candidate has a passion for the challenge of learning new engineering tools and technologies.

• Engage and consult with engineers on the implementation of engineering software solutions; assist programs in the use of and adoption of solutions and emerging technologies
• Manage installations and upgrades of engineering tools
• Deploy engineering applications. This includes software installations, configurations, integrations and user acceptance of the applications
• Provide general user support for engineering tools
• Set and manage customer expectations while ensuring priorities are optimally met
• Function as part of the virtual Support Service & Maintenance support team
• Support multiple customers and work within specific schedule and cost constraints

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience supporting tools for engineering disciplines (Software, System, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) such as (but not limited to) DevOPS Tools (Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Coverity, Artifactory), Matlab, DOORs, Cameo, Creo, Vivado, Ansys, Lab View)
• Experience troubleshooting and solving complex engineering tool problems in a Windows, Unix, and/or Linux environment
• Experience applying principles and processes of software development
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Understanding and implementation experience with AGILE software principles and/or SAFE
• System administration experience in Windows and/or Linux based system
• Experience deploying containers with Docker and Podman, and securing systems using CA Certificates and LDAPS
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with senior engineering leaders and program management personnel
• Strong ability to interact productively with end users, analysts, and customers in a dynamic team setting, and work in virtual environment where team members are not co-located

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
