Overview
Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight‑based vision systems. A Process Engineer will support Vacuum Dewar fabrication for Infrared Vacuum Dewars in Wirebond and Precision Alignment in an ISO Class 5 Clean Room.
Responsibilities- Work with Technicians, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Equipment Engineers in an ISO Class 5 Clean Room setting.
- Manage process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increases, throughput and safety improvements.
- Review material in WIP, certify operators and conduct hands‑on processing testing and failure analysis.
- Use chemicals, metrology equipment, inspection microscope, alignment and bonding tools in a cleanroom environment.
- Handle chemical safety data and advise on safety protocols, including personal protective equipment.
- Develop and deliver presentations, verbal and/or written, to key stakeholders.
- Work with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Process, Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Background in Vacuum Processing, Leak Check, Plating, Photolithography and Metrology.
- Experience with Precision Alignment, Wire Bond, Vacuum Life and Infrared Detector Technology.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or schematics; good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with SPC and DOE/ANOVA.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and engineering/manufacturing software.
- Experience with Precision Alignment, Wire Bond, Vacuum Life, Leak Check, Plating, Photolithography and Metrology.
- Experience with Infrared Detector Technology and control systems.

CompensationSalary range: $95,500 – $181,700 USD. The offered compensation will reflect experience, education, location and responsibilities.
