Avionics Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Avionics Technician to support aerospace manufacturing operations involving antenna assembly, RF testing, hardware fabrication, and avionics systems. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with RF testing, and the ability to work in a production environment focused on quality and precision.
- Assemble and test antennas, RF circuits, and avionics hardware.
- Perform RF measurements using Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) and other test equipment.
- Conduct antenna pattern, gain, and VSWR testing.
- Use precision measuring tools including calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Document test results and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
- Follow manufacturing, quality, safety, and ISO procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of avionics or aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience with RF testing, tuning, and antenna measurements.
- Proficient with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Aerospace manufacturing or RF production experience.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Experience with soldering, harnessing, bonding, and traceability processes.
- Knowledge of ISO and quality management systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goleta, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $37.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
